The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos State Chapter, has expressed grief over the death of veteran Nollywood actor Chief Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. Hassan reportedly passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The guild described him as a giant of Nigerian cinema whose career spanned over three decades, known for his commanding screen presence and commitment to authentic Nigerian stories. He was also remembered as a mentor, a disciplinarian on set, and an ambassador of Yoruba culture.
