US man who used ChatGPT to plan bank robbery jailed 121 months

Deron Lewis-Payne, a 23-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison for using ChatGPT to plan a bank robbery. He pleaded guilty to bank robbery and brandishing a firearm during the crime. The sentence includes 37 months for the robbery and 84 months for brandishing, to run consecutively. He will also serve five years of supervised release after his prison term.
