Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, will pay an official visit to Nigeria and Ethiopia from 25 to 29 August 2026. The visit aims to promote Thailand's engagement with Africa under the Thailand–Africa Initiative (TAI) and advance economic diplomacy by enhancing trade and investment cooperation. In Nigeria, he is scheduled to meet with Vice President Kashim Shettima, Foreign Affairs Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and ECOWAS Commission President Omar Alieu Touray, as well as lead a Thai business delegation to a Thailand–Nigeria event.
