The East African Community (EAC) Council of Ministers has lifted the moratorium on recruitment in the Organs and Institutions of the Community and approved a phased recruitment plan starting in FY 2026/2027. The decision was made during a dedicated meeting in Mombasa, Kenya, from 18th to 21st August 2026. The Council directed the Secretariat to advertise 69 priority positions to ensure continuity in operations.
