Afreximbank has reported a strong financial performance for the first half of 2026, with total assets and contingencies rising by 7.8% to $52.3 billion. Net loans and advances increased by 5.7% to $35.4 billion, driven by expansion in lending activities. The bank's non-performing loan ratio improved to 2.20% from 2.43% at the end of 2025, reflecting prudent risk management. The group also maintained a sound liquidity position, with liquid assets representing 13% of total assets.
