Sanwo-Olu clears Lagos pension backlog after N92bn payment to 25,000 retirees

The Lagos State Government has cleared the backlog of pension payments after disbursing N92 billion to 25,000 retirees. The administration's intervention culminated in a landmark N5 billion payment to 1,963 retirees in July 2024, which cleared all outstanding backlogs of accrued rights under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
