As the 2027 general elections approach, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its Presidential Campaign Council, with 14 serving governors assigned various portfolios and responsibilities aimed at mobilising support and delivering President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party's presidential candidate, for a second term. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened the 2027 electioneering season, paving the way for political parties to roll out their manifestoes, campaign programmes, and promises to the electorate. The governors and their respective roles include Mai Mala Buni as Deputy Director-General, North I, among others. The council is tasked with coordinating campaign activities across the country.
