The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) reported a 30% increase in net income to $534.7 million in the first half of 2026, up from $412.7 million in the same period of 2025. Net interest income rose 22% to $1 billion, while net loans and advances grew 5.7% to $35.4 billion. The bank's non-performing loan ratio improved to 2.20% from 2.43%, and return on average shareholders' equity increased to 13% from 11%.
