The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and its partners, including Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited, Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Limited, and Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited, have signed addenda to the Production Sharing Contract and Dispute Settlement Agreement for the Bonga South-West/Aparo project. The deal, valued at $21 billion, moves the project closer to a Final Investment Decision and is expected to unlock 175,000 barrels of oil per day and 140 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, making it Nigeria's largest deepwater development.
