Amotekun arrests suspected kidnapper negotiating ransom, another targeting ex-boss’s wife

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun, has arrested two suspected kidnappers and eight other suspects for various offences across the state. Parading the suspects in Akure, the state Commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, said one of the suspected kidnappers, Gambo, 27, was arrested in Shasha while allegedly negotiating ransom with the families of his victims. The second suspect, identified as Murtala, 19, was arrested with a locally made firearm and other weapons while allegedly attempting to kidnap the wife of his former employer in Molege, Owo. Adeleye said Murtala had gained entry into the woman's residence but was foiled after the husband and neighbours raised the alarm.
