The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has described the late veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, as a cultural ambassador who used his craft to promote and preserve Yoruba traditions and values. Adams, in a condolence statement on Monday, expressed profound sorrow over the death of the actor, describing his contributions to the Yoruba film industry as remarkable and enduring. Hassan died on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a battle with stage-four cancer, leaving a significant void in the Nigerian entertainment industry and Yoruba cultural community. Adams extended his condolences to the late actor's family, friends, colleagues and fans, as well as the entire Yoruba film industry.
