Fubara defends LG payroll clean-up, says exercise not politically motivated

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has defended the staff payroll verification exercise in the 23 local government areas, stating that it is not politically motivated. He said the exercise is aimed at ensuring fiscal discipline and eliminating 'ghost' workers. Fubara made the remarks while inaugurating the Omademe Internal Roads Project in Ikwerre on Monday.
