President Bola Tinubu flagged off the reconstruction of the 56.5km Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode Road, valued at N297 billion, without the involvement of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. The ceremony took place at the Idi Ayunre end of the road in Ibadan and was attended by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Minister of Works David Umahi, and other dignitaries. Governor Makinde was conspicuously absent, prompting the Oyo State government to accuse the federal government of playing politics with the project.
