A married couple has maintained separate friend groups throughout their eight-year relationship and five-year marriage. The wife, who shared her experience, said the arrangement has been beneficial, allowing them to pursue individual interests and keeping their marriage exciting. She noted that they started as a long-distance couple, which set a precedent for separate social circles. Despite not frequently mingling with each other's friends, they do like them and occasionally socialize together as couples.
