The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) picketed Abuja Continental Hotel over alleged denial of unionization, collective bargaining, and violation of workers' rights. The protest, which lasted about two hours, saw workers barricading the hotel's entrance. TUC Secretary-General Nuhu Toro stated that the union had exhausted dialogue efforts after writing to the management on August 4, and accused the hotel of treating workers like slaves.
