The Kaduna State Government has established a nine-member committee to engage with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other staff unions at Kaduna State University (KASU). Governor Uba Sani has approved a one-off payment of 300 million naira for Earned Academic Allowance (EAA). The Secretary to the State Government, Dr AbdulKadir Mu'azu Meyere, stated that this intervention is part of efforts to address a backlog of over 800 million naira in accumulated entitlements dating back to 2016. The government emphasized its commitment to staff welfare and industrial harmony.
