A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the remand of Gideon Bakpa Aghogho, a service administrator at First City Monument Bank (FCMB), and former employee Oscar Ebere Chukwuebuka over an alleged $25,000 cyber fraud. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned them on charges of conspiracy, cybercrime, and money laundering. Prosecutors allege that Aghogho released his administrative credentials to Chukwuebuka, enabling unauthorized access to FCMB's systems to siphon funds. The offences reportedly occurred between July 24 and July 26, 2026, with an accomplice named Scott still at large.
