Reports indicate that at least nine members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee are considering resigning from the board amid criticism over the federation's management of football in the country. The 13-member board, led by President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has reportedly met to discuss the possibility of mass resignation, despite earlier plans for many members to seek re-election at the upcoming election scheduled for September 27 in Lafia, Nasarawa State. A source suggested that such a move could lead to the appointment of a Normalisation Committee to oversee Nigerian football temporarily, with expectations of a new governance structure to be established. The NFF has not yet issued an official statement regarding these reports.
