The Trade Union Congress (TUC) staged a protest at the Abuja Continental Hotel on Monday, accusing the management of anti-labour practices for preventing employees from joining the Hotel Workers Union. Protesters blocked the hotel's entry and exit routes from early morning, prompting the FCT Police Command to deploy personnel to maintain order. TUC General Secretary, Dr. Nuhu Toro, said the picketing was due to the management's refusal to dialogue over allowing workers to unionize. The hotel has rejected the allegations.
