The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and its partners, including Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Limited, and Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), have signed addenda to the Production Sharing Contract and Dispute Settlement Agreement for Oil Mining Lease (OML) 118. This milestone advances the deepwater Bonga Southwest/Aparo project towards a Final Investment Decision, with projected peak production of 175,000 barrels per day and 140 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. The project is expected to become Nigeria's largest deepwater facility and attract $21 billion in investment.
