The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has called on religious bodies across the country to promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen interreligious relations. In a message marking this year's Eid-el-Maulud celebration, Udeze urged Nigerians to see religion as a force for unity rather than division. He noted that religious differences should not become a source of conflict, as various faiths recognize God as the creator. He also urged Muslims celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad to focus on peace, unity, and national development, which should take precedence over religious affiliations.
