Goldman Sachs' chief information officer, Marco Argenti, says the firm's engineers are now focused on making AI tools specific to the company's needs. With all 12,000 developers using AI, the challenge is to transfer "tribal knowledge" to AI agents, such as data standards and security protocols. Argenti noted that AI is also changing mentorship structures across business lines. The goal is to have AI agents that understand Goldman's environment like new employees do.
