A 31-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter died after being struck by lightning while returning home in the United States. The victims were identified as Kenya Glasgow and her daughter Kennedy. Police said emergency responders found them lying on a sidewalk after a 911 call at about 2:30 p.m. Witness Prince Moody reported seeing an orange glow and rushing to help. Both were taken to hospitals but were pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
