Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has declared that no part of the state will be surrendered to herders. Speaking during a thank-you tour in the Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo and Kwande/Ushongo Jechira federal constituencies, he said his administration is committed to defeating insecurity and protecting ancestral lands. Alia commended President Bola Tinubu for strengthening the state's security architecture, including the establishment of the Nigerian Army 5 Division, and assured traditional rulers of continued partnership in maintaining peace.
