The Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, has called for knowledge-driven reforms in the civil service. He made this appeal during the public presentation of two books by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, in Abuja on Tuesday. The books, titled 'Beyond the Mandate – A Memoir on Leadership' and 'I Planted – A Memoir of Purposeful Service', were presented to mark her retirement. Olaopa noted that the event was an opportunity for public administrators to reflect on the state of the profession in Nigeria and its reform, adding that Walson-Jack's work serves as an important public service beyond personal memoirs.
