The Chairman of Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, Samuel Shekwolo, has issued a warning to residents who oppose the All Progressives Congress (APC) to leave the council ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a video circulating on social media, Shekwolo declared that he would not accept opposition to the APC or President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid within Kuje. He cited development projects carried out by the Tinubu administration and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as reasons for residents to support the ruling party. Shekwolo stated that he would use his position to resist any attempts by residents to campaign or vote against the APC in the 2027 elections.
