The newly appointed ECOWAS Resident Representative to Cabo Verde, Ambassador João Butiam Co, has increased engagement with national authorities and the diplomatic community to strengthen ECOWAS's visibility and strategic relevance in the country. Since assuming his position, he has held meetings with senior Cabo Verdean government officials and diplomatic corps representatives to discuss regional cooperation and shared priorities. He also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Communities and National Defense, Ambassador Manuel Amante da Rosa, to reaffirm the importance of institutional dialogue. These engagements are part of efforts to support Cabo Verde's development and integration within West Africa.
