Paul Ibe, an aide to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has said that Atiku would restore petrol subsidy if elected in 2027, but would later remove it after implementing necessary reforms. Ibe explained that the subsidy removal would be done in a phased manner to cushion its effects on Nigerians. He made this statement in response to questions about Atiku's economic plans.
