Uganda's Speaker Jacob Marksons Oboth has warned that he will name and shame individuals who threaten committee chairpersons in the performance of their duties. During a plenary sitting on Tuesday, Oboth emphasized that chairpersons have a constitutional mandate to process parliamentary work. He cautioned against covert or overt threats and reaffirmed his commitment to transparency. The Speaker stated that such intimidation tactics must cease immediately.
