The Media Office of the Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to engage Nigerians directly as he seeks re-election in the 2027 presidential election. The office warned against what it described as a growing reliance on political surrogates, urging Tinubu to show himself as a servant-leader and give an account of his first term. The statement challenged Tinubu to explain his administration's performance since assuming office in 2023, including the state of the economy and the hardship facing Nigerian families. It also called on the President to explain what he would do differently if elected for a second term and respond directly to questions from citizens.
