At the Nigerian Bar Association conference, a speaker identified as VDM argued that security agents, who constitute less than 10 percent of the population, cannot effectively protect over 200 million Nigerians. He suggested that citizens should be allowed easier access to guns to address insecurity. The statement was made during discussions on national security.
