A Vanguard investigation, including review of social media videos, showed commuters and truck drivers stranded for hours, with some motorists performing daily activities like brushing teeth beside their vehicles. One truck driver lamented, 'From Lagos to Benin is four hours, but when you get to Benin, we spend three days.' Another accused the Federal Government of failing to address the road condition, warning it affects goods movement and puts vehicles at risk.
