The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council, has condemned the killing of two persons near the Naira and Kobo Motor Park in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area. The council also decried an attack on a police patrol team that responded to a distress call, which left two officers injured and a patrol vehicle destroyed. In a statement by Chairman Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin and Secretary Comrade Olalekan Akindoju, the incident was described as a serious threat to public safety. The NUJ called on the Osun State Police Command to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible are arrested and prosecuted.
