The group warned against what it described as an attempt by the president to seek re-election through surrogates. In a statement, the office insisted that presidential candidates must have the courage to stand before the electorate and answer questions about their policies and vision. The statement also alleged that Tinubu is positioning himself for a second term without adequately engaging the public.
