Former President Goodluck Jonathan has commended Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for investing in the rehabilitation and modernisation of the Yankari Game Reserve. Jonathan spoke during an inspection of completed projects at the tourist destination, where Governor Mohammed unveiled a 500KVA solar power plant as part of the state government's multi-billion-naira intervention. The governor led a delegation comprising Jonathan, members of the state executive council, and traditional rulers on an inspection tour of upgraded facilities, including the renovated Yankari Museum and improved facilities around the Wikki Warm Springs. The solar power plant is designed to provide reliable and sustainable electricity to the hospitality and administrative facilities within the reserve.
