A 14-year-old boy has spent the past six years combining online schooling with world travel, an approach his father says has fostered independence and resourcefulness. During a recent expedition in Alaska, the teen participated in citizen science activities, including collecting water samples and deploying plankton nets. His father notes that while this 'worldschooling' method is not suitable for every family or his other children, it has been highly beneficial for his son, who also runs his own businesses when at home.
