U.S. Air Force medics are adapting their training to address the growing threat of drone attacks on field hospitals and medical operations. During a recent exercise called Northern Strike, they practiced evacuating a field hospital under simulated drone attack, using techniques inspired by Ukraine's experiences, such as netting, robots, and underground facilities. Major Sarah Blackthorne, an Air Force medical planner, said traditional medical training does not prepare Airmen for drone threats, so they developed a 'drone stress inoculation event' to test evacuation procedures.
