Indeed has released a new ranking of the best U.S. cities for work, with the Boston metro area taking the top spot. The ranking analyzed over 200 metros with more than 200,000 residents across six dimensions: job opportunity, compensation, job quality and security, career mobility and dynamism, work-life and flexibility, and economic opportunity. Burlington, Vermont, ranked third, with high scores in opportunities and job quality. Indeed economist Sneha Puri noted that factors beyond salary, such as career mobility and economic opportunity, contribute to a city's work appeal.
