The federal government has announced plans to review all concessioned roads across the country to ensure contractors meet their obligations. Minister of Works David Umahi made this known during an assessment of the Benin-Asaba Expressway, where he criticized the handling of the project by the Benin-Asaba Expressway Concession Company (BAECC). Umahi apologized to Nigerians for the poor state of the road and called a stakeholders' meeting to address the situation.
