The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), also known as KAI, has called for increased community participation and voluntary compliance with environmental laws to address sanitation challenges in Lagos. Corps Marshal Major Olaniyi Cole (retd.) made the appeal at a stakeholders' meeting for the Lagos East and Central Senatorial Districts. The meeting, themed 'Strengthening Environmental Sanitation Through Effective Enforcement and Stakeholder Collaboration,' brought together community leaders, market associations, and government agencies. Cole emphasized that enforcement alone cannot solve the state's environmental issues.
