The Police Command in Niger State, Nigeria, has arrested five suspects in connection with alleged criminal conspiracy and armed robbery. Police Public Relations Officer SP Wasiu Abiodun announced the arrests and the recovery of a Beretta pistol and two rounds of live ammunition from one suspect. The arrests followed a report on August 11 that armed robbers had invaded Sauka-Kahuta, stealing laptops, handsets, motorcycles, and other valuables. Investigation led to the arrest of the gang leader, a 25-year-old man from Maitumbi, on August 17, who then led detectives to other members.
