Minister of Works David Umahi has apologized to commuters and residents of Edo and Delta states over the deplorable condition of the Benin-Sapele Road, which has caused significant hardship. He also ordered the arrest of the contractor and concessionaire responsible for the road, as well as others found removing asphalt from federal roads without authorization. Umahi made these statements during an inspection tour in Benin, expressing disappointment with the concessionaire's technical competence and thanking Edo youths for their restraint.
