C’River Governorship: PDP candidate accepts Otu debate challenge

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Cross River, Arthur Archibong, has accepted the challenge for an open debate issued by Governor Bassey Otu. Archibong stated he is willing to debate at any time and venue chosen by the governor, provided Otu attends in person. He emphasized that the people deserve to hear directly from the candidates, not from proxies. Archibong also declined to engage in a war of words with the state Commissioner for Information, Ekpenyong Cobham, who had issued the challenge, noting that Cobham is not on the ballot.
