The Kano State Police Command confirmed that one person was killed and three others injured when a gunman opened fire at a wedding ceremony in Tudun Yola on August 16. The police arrested 34-year-old Rabiu Mukhtar in connection with the incident, recovering a pump-action gun from him. The victims were taken to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where one of them, Aliyu Mustapha, later died. The other three victims are responding to treatment.
