Universal Insurance Plc has filed a lawsuit against the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) challenging the revocation of its operating licence and the appointment of a receiver or provisional liquidator. The company announced the legal action in a notice to the Nigerian Exchange, signed by its company secretary. The dispute centers on the regulator's decision, which the insurer seeks to overturn.
