Coronation Research analysts project that the Nigerian naira will trade at N1,400 per dollar in the second half of 2026, with gradual depreciation expected by year-end. The projection was presented by Adeyemi Temilola, Head of Macro Research at Coronation, during a capital market review in Lagos. The naira performed better than forecast in H1 2026, closing at an average of N1,365 per dollar, due to improved yield differentials and record portfolio inflows. External factors such as global growth, inflation, and crude oil prices will influence the H2 2026 outlook.
