The Central Bank of Nigeria raised an estimated N14.5 trillion via Nigerian Treasury Bills in the first seven months of 2026, a 61.08 percent increase from N8.99 trillion in the same period of 2025. Subscriptions reached N36.21 trillion, up 46.7 percent from N24.7 trillion previously. The CBN had planned to raise N11.53 trillion but settled for N14.5 trillion. The issuance is used as a tool to regulate liquidity in the banking system.
