A bipartisan group of House of Representatives members, known as the Save Democracy Group, has expressed concern over the inclusion of the Minister of Defence, Gen Chris Musa, the Director-General of the Budget Office, Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi, and the chairman of the National Revenue Service, Zacheus Adedeji, in the APC Presidential Campaign Council. The group stated that while political parties have the right to campaign, there must be a clear distinction between government machinery and party machinery. They warned that the composition raises questions about the politicisation of public institutions.
