Stakeholders in Nigeria's electoral system have called for stronger collaboration to ensure Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) can exercise their constitutional right to vote in the 2027 general election. The call was made at a stakeholders' engagement organised by TAF Africa on the implementation of INEC's framework for IDP electoral participation. Ambassador Jake Epelle, CEO of TAF Africa, said displacement should not result in loss of political voice. INEC representative Mrs Dorothy Bello reaffirmed the commission's commitment to an inclusive electoral process.
