Residents, motorists, and commuters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have expressed relief over a noticeable decline in traffic robbery incidents in Abuja following recent security operations and arrests of suspected criminals. For months, motorists on major roads and junctions, especially during peak traffic and late evenings, had complained about hoodlums exploiting traffic congestion to rob road users of valuables. Areas such as Banex Junction, National Hospital flyover, City Gate axis, Wuse market junction, and Beggar Bridge were identified as hotspots. The security operations have led to a reduction in such incidents, bringing relief to the public.
